What is a Activity-to-Step conversion challenge?

To get the most out of the Wellness Coach app challenges, it's essential to regularly track your progress, including your Activity/workout minutes and step count.

1. TrueStep Validator

  • When the TrueStep Validator is enabled for a corporate account, some activities (e.g., walking, backpacking, cycling) undergo additional validation to prevent double counting.

  • The system compares actual steps with converted workout steps for those activities, then records whichever is higher.

Example:

  • Walking recorded: 4,000 steps

  • Cycling (converted): 6,000 steps
➡️ Counted value = 6,000 steps (cycling result is higher)

2. Multiple Activities for the Same Time Frame

  • If a user logs overlapping workouts, only the activity producing the highest step conversion is included for that duration.

Example:

  • 8:00–8:40 AM → Jogging = 2,800 steps (converted)

  • 8:15–8:45 AM → Elliptical = 3,500 steps (converted)
➡️ Counted value for 8:15–8:45 AM = 3,500 steps (Elliptical wins)
